Pondless Water Feature with Lighted Waterfall
A pondless water feature is simply running water that circulates without incorporating a pond. It is one of the most commonly requested water features because it doesn't need a lot of space, but it still provides the serenity associated with water running over rocks. It is also very low-maintenance and energy efficient. The pondless waterfall pictured here also incorporates lights in between the rocks, making it even more beautiful at night.
Pond with Waterfall
For people who have a little more space, a waterfall that also incorporates a pond is a beautiful feature to add to their yard. It provides a serene setting for relaxing and enjoying the wildlife that gathers around the pond. The soothing sound of running water masks the noise of nearby streets or businesses, and gives children a nice space to play.
Pond Without Waterfall
Some people prefer to have ponds without any running water, sometimes with fish in them (i.e., such as koi ponds). In the case of Koi Ponds, these are not really considered a landscape feature as much as an outdoor fish tank. They must include certain elements like filtration systems and straight-down sides to keep the fish healthy and safe from predators. However, they can still be a beautiful part of the landscape of your outdoor space.
Fountains
Another very popular water feature is a fountain. A fountain can either be a stand-alone feature or incorporated into the center of a pond. They are relatively simple to install and maintain.
